COLD DRIP CITY

COFFEE BLONDE   ABV 5.9% Fermentables: 2-Row, Vienna, Crystal, CaraPils, Flaked Barley, Lactose Hops: Santiam, Cascade Cold Drip City is a basic blonde ale with lactose (milk sugar) that we infuse with a strong cold-brewed coffee during carbonation. The trick is that the beer picks up a distinct coffee flavor and aroma without much color. The coffee is a robust dark roast Sulawezi bean, carefully selected by our friends at Allegheny Coffee & Tea Exchange.

All Downhill

Vanilla Cream Ale   ABV 5.0% Fermentables: 2-Row, Wheat, CaraPils, Lactose Hops/Spices: Willamette, Vanilla All Downhill is similar to Working Class Hero, our straightforward “beer flavored” beer. The obvious difference is the addition of vanilla and lactose, which play on the “cream” idea (even if creaminess isn’t typical for the Cream Ale style). The subtle difference is the addition of 30% malted wheat in place of the Munich and Vienna malts. The dessert-like sweetness of the vanilla combined with the soft graininess of the wheat gives the impression of breakfast …

THE STACHE

Red Rye   ABV 5.1%  IBU 25 Fermentables: 2-Row, Red X, Rye, CaraRye, CaraMunich Hops: Horizon, Santiam, Crystal The Stache is all about malt, in all of its bready, caramelly goodness. The hops are meek, chosen to complement the malt with just a wisp of bitterness. And there is perhaps a slight “tang” from the rye, which makes up roughly half of the grain bill. You might say that The Stache is a liquid poem, confessing a weird infatuation with Tom Selleck’s mustache. You might also say that John Oates …

FAINTHEART

Red Ale

RED LAGER ABV  4.9%   IBU  30 Fermentables: 2-Row Pale, Munich, CaraMunich, Chocolate Malt Hops: Horizon, Santiam In the most basic sense, there are two types of beer: ale and lager. The key difference between the two is the yeast. Ale yeasts prefer warmer fermentation temperatures, and they tend to produce esters that contribute a fruity flavor and aroma. Lager yeasts prefer cooler temperatures, and they impart a “cleaner,” less fruity flavor, allowing the malt and hops to really stand out. Faintheart is the first of several lagers that we …
