Hops: Columbus, Chinook, Cascade, Centennial, Crystal, Meridian, Amarillo
There’s too much going on here to call it a mere Double. This Imperial IPA incorporates 7 different hops varieties at a rate of more than 4.5 pounds per barrel. There’s also a ton of malt at work, creating a full body and a sweetness that enhances the overripe fruitiness of the hops. But the firm bitterness at the finish and the higher alcohol are just the medicine to help the sugar go down.
