Begbie draft & bottles (500ml) go live today at noon, and you can order online, if that’s how you roll. There’s no limit, unless you try to be a jag and buy the whole lot, in which case we’ll tell yinz to go get lawst. Bottles are $12/ea., so you ain’t gawt that kinda loot anyway.

This rarely brewed Scotch Ale (8.5%) was aged 8 months in ex-bourbon/rye/maple barrels, before we added gallons of pure PA maple syrup. It’s a special beer.

Join us on Friday, Oct. 30, for our latest barrel-aged bottle release. We aged our rarely brewed Scotch Ale, Begbie (8.5%), in ex-bourbon/maple/rye barrels for 8 months, and then we added gallons of pure Pennsylvania maple syrup. Draft will be available in addition to the 500 ml bottles, but no growlers. Doors open at noon. 🍁

We just emptied these lovely barrels, which formerly held Heaven Hill bourbon, maple syrup, @wiglewhiskey rye, and most recently our Begbie scotch ale. The beer is presently soaking up some additional mapley syrupy goodness, and you can expect bottles and draft next weekend. In the meantime, we have one empty barrel available for purchase, $100.

Label art was created by the usual suspect @underdonecomics who is obsessed with a novel called Trainspotting.

We have a wild and wonderful new beer on tap today: Approximately Heaven (4.2%) Chocolate Raspberry Milk Stout. It’s a rapturous blend of dark roasted malts, organic cacao, raspberry purée, and milk sugar. This one was brought down from the mountain by our favorite WV native brewer & @westvirginiau alum, Alec Brown. We’re open for business 12-11PM today. We’ll take State Slogans for $400, Alec.
